Mais uma sobrinha está de parabéns hoje, por celebrar o seu 8º aniversário. Esta menina, quando tinha 4 anos, depois de ver a irmã mais nova, bebé, ter a sua mantinha, também pediu que eu lhe fizesse uma... mas em tons de azul, que era a sua cor preferida. Decidi então conjugar diferentes tons de azul e cor de rosa, para que a mantinha tivesse um "look feminino". ;) Ficou gira, hem?

Another niece is to be congratulated today by celebrating her 8th birthday. This girl, when she was 4 years old, after seeing the younger baby sister having a blanket as a gift, also requested one for her... but in shades of blue, which was her favorite color. So I decided to combine different shades of blue and pink, so that the blanket had a look’s girl. ;) Was cute, huh?

Mantas das bonecas | Doll blankets

Antes de postar a última manta de bebé que fiz até à data, deixo aqui também as minhas experiências de crochet, realizadas em mantinhas para as bonecas das minhas filhas. Fizeram as delícias das pequenas quando brincavam com os seus bebés chorões e bonecas. ;)

Uma das mantas é feita em zig-zag, enquanto na outra foi realizado um jogo de quadrados de cores incompletas e o rebordo tem pequenos cordões pendurados.

Before posting the last baby blanket I made so far, I leave here my crochet experiences, held in blankets for the dolls of my daughters. Did the delights of litle girls, when playing with their babies and dolls. ;)

One of the blankets is made in ripple pattern, while the other was conducted an incomplete color squares game and the edge has small cords hanging.

Cores do outono | Autumn colours blanket

Esta manta fiz para uma sobrinha que nasceu no final do outono, quase inverno, e que agora já tem 4 anos. Na altura a minha vontade foi de a realizar num tom outonal, mas com apontamentos de cores mais alegres. Acabou por ficar muito bem na bebé tão moreninha!

A oferta desta manta deu origem ao pedido de outra por parte da irmã da bebé. ;)

I made this blanket for a niece who was born in late autumn, almost winter, and now is 4 years old. At the time my will was to make the blanket in a autumnal tone, with touches of brighter and cheerful colors. Turned out to be very well on baby so brunette! The offer of this blanket gave rise to the request of another by the sister of the baby. ;)

Parabéns ao meu sobrinho moreninho que tem olhos de "azeitona preta", pois faz hoje 2 anos! Esta mantinha, em granny squares de tons azuis, verdes e laranjas, foi a terceira mantinha de rapaz que fiz e foi presente pelo seu nascimento. ;)

Congratulations to my nephew with brown skin and "black olive" eyes, who is two years old today! This blanket in granny squares of blue, green and orange tones, was the third blanket boy I made and it was a present for his birth. ;)

Manta cores pop | Pop colors blanket

Andava com vontade de fazer uma manta com apontamentos de cores mais fortes e um pouco fluorescentes... uma manta que designei de "Pop" e me faz lembrar as cores de Andy Warhol. Foi a última mantinha que realizei, para a sobrinha mais pequenina que tenho, que ainda só tem 1 ano de idade. Adorei! Ficou o máximo!

I was willing to make a blanket with touches of stronger colors and a litle bit fluorescent ... a blanket which I called "Pop" and reminds me of Andy Warhol colors. Was the last blanket that I made, for the littlest niece, who still has only 1 year old. Loved It! It's super!

Mantinha cores suaves | Sweet blanket

Porque a Páscoa é uma época de pensar nos afilhados, fica aqui uma mantinha realizada com carinho e oferecida a uma afilhada quando era bebé. Esta é de cores suaves, diferente de todas as outras que eu tinha realizado. Curiosamente, combina com o temperamento da pequenita que já vai fazer 5 anos. ;)

Because Easter is a time to think of the godchildren, I leave here a blanket I made with affection and offered a goddaughter when she was a baby. This blanket has soft and sweet colours, different from all others that I had done until then. Interestingly, combines with the temperament of the little girl, who will be 5 years old coming soon. ;)  Happy Easter!

Pequenas flores em hexagonos | Small flowers in hexagons

Quando realizei esta mantinha quis experimentar estes hexágonos, um pouco mais pequenos, e juntá-los de forma diferente da qual tinha feito nas outras mantas. Das vezes anteriores, depois de todos os quadrados prontos, organizava-os dando o colorido que desejava à mantinha, e só depois os juntava utilizando uma técnica de costura. Desta vez resolvi experimentar juntar os hexágonos utilizando o crochet, unindo-os à medida que ia fazendo a última carreira de pontos altos, dando assim forma à mantinha. Fiquei muito contente com resultado. ;)
Fiz esta mantinha para uma sobrinha bebé, que já vai fazer dois anos no verão, e que sendo terceira filha também teve direito à sua manta tal como as suas irmãs.

When I made this blaket wanted to try these hexagons, a bit smaller, and join them differently from what I had done in previous blankets. The other times, after all the squares ready, I organized them giving the colorful that I wanted to the blanket, and then joined the squares using a sewing technique. This time I decided to try joining the hexagons using crochet as was doing the last career of double stitch, forming the blanket. I was very pleased with the result. ;) 
This blanket was made for a baby niece, who will be two years in summer, and being third daughter also had her blanket as their sisters had.

Quero a primavera | I want spring blanket

Tenho muita vontade que a primavera chegue de vez e se instale com todo o seu rigor... que os dias cinzentos dêem lugar aos raios de sol, ao céu azul e às temperaturas amenas. Por isso, deixo aqui uma mantinha cheia de cor, com inúmeras flores que nos transmitem sensações primaveris. Foi realizada para uma sobrinha que atualmente tem 3 anos, e que é uma menina muito vivaça, tal como esta manta. :)

I really want that spring arrives once for all... that grey days give way to sunshine, blue skies and mild temperatures. So, I leave here a blanket full of color, with numerous flowers that make us feel spring sensations. Was made for a niece who currently is 3 years old, and that is a very quirky girl, just like this blanket. :)

O sobrinho para quem fiz esta mantinha faz hoje 9 anos! Está de Parabéns!
Na altura, esse menino, que via a tia fazer mantinhas para oferecer aos sobrinhos bebés que iam nascendo na família, também reclamou a sua. ;) Esta foi a minha terceira mantinha, a primeira que fiz para um menino e que também realizei granny squares. Ficou colorida e alegre, hem?

The nephew who I made this blanket celebrates today 9 years old! Happy birthday! At the time, this boy, who saw his aunt doing blankets to offer the babies nephews born in the family, also requested one for him. ;)  This was my third blanket, the first I made for a boy and also did granny squares. Is colourful and cheerful, huh?

Manta cores de verão | Summer colours blanket

Já lá vão 7 anos... A segunda mantinha que fiz foi para a minha segunda filha, que nasceu no início do verão, e portanto decidi fazê-la com cores que lembram a estação quente e a praia de que eu tanto gosto. Os fios utilizados são de algodão, para que a mantinha fosse adequada às temperaturas que se fazem sentir nesta estação do ano, e portanto, não fosse tão quente para a bebé recém-nascida.

It's been 7 years... The second blanket I made was to my second daughter, who was born in early summer, so I decided to do it with colors that recall the warm season and the beach beach that I like so much. The yarn used is cotton, so that the blanket was suited to the temperature  that are felt in this season, and so, it wasn't so warm for the newborn baby. 

Primeira manta | My first blanket

A minha primeira filha já vai fazer 9 anos.
Quando ela era ainda bebé fiz esta manta, que foi o primeiro trabalho em crochet e também a primeira manta que realizei. Ainda hoje lhe aquece as costas nas noites mais frias.
Atualmente, se voltasse a fizer esta manta, iria realizá-la de certeza com mais perfeição e optaria por fazer o rebordo de toda a manta como esta, com meios hexágonos a toda a volta.
 
My first daughter is almost 9 years old. When she was a baby I made this blanket, which was my first project in crochet and also the first blanket that I performed. Even today warms her back in the cooler evenings.
Currently, if I made this blanket again, I'd certainly do it with much more perfection and would decide to make the edge of the blanket like this, with half hexagons all around.
